ROLE MECHANICAL ENGINEER
TEAM PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
HOURS FULL TIME
LOCATION COPENHAGEN
START DATE JUNE 1ST 2026 or ASAP
The Product Development team is responsible for the full product development cycle, from an idea to mass production. They are a group of collaborative and self-driven team members, who hold a large cross-disciplinary understanding and ownership of tasks. They are there to make a real difference – for the products, for the team, and, of course, for the customers.
As Mechanical Engineer at SOUNDBOKS, you will be a part of working on the mechanical development of our products in close collaboration with the Lead Mechanical Engineer, the rest of the Product Development and Quality teams, and our external partners in Asia. With your product-oriented engineering experience, you will support mechanical engineering (ME) concept assemblies and help transform innovative ideas into precise mechanical assemblies while ensuring designs meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) standards. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, you will help ensure a seamless transition from product conceptualisation to mass production while maintaining high-quality standards and supporting the team in delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.
Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:
Mechanical Design & Prototyping
You will take part in the mechanical development of new SOUNDBOKS products.
You will participate in maturing the industrial design of SOUNDBOKS products and accessories towards manufacturing, focusing on designing for cost and manufacturing feasibility.
You will integrate and actively consider both hardware and acoustics into the mechanical design.
You will spend your time 2D/3D CAD designing - this means maturing industrial design into a mechanically manufacturable product through prototyping and CAD modelling.
You will build prototypes by hand in our workshop and order from outside to validate mechanical concepts, engineering and assemblies.
Global Collaboration
Your day will also consist of collaboration with our team in China, suppliers, and external consultants.
You can expect to visit our manufacturing partners upon necessity, making sure the products match the design and work perfectly.
