ROLE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

The Accounting & Tax team at SOUNDBOKS is responsible for all global finance processes. They’ve built (and keep on building) a strong foundation to support our international growth. This includes setting up solid, scalable processes to support Soundboks’ growth and meet evolving regulatory demands.

As the Financial Controller at SOUNDBOKS you will be joining an ambitious and competent team, in total of 3 people within accounting, tax and controlling. You will play a key role in maintaining high accounting standards and further develop the Accounting & Tax function. You’ll also be involved in developing and setting up internal controls, as well as digitising and optimising the current financial processes.

Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:

Financial Closing & Compliance

• You'll be responsible for the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• You'll prepare the necessary documentation for the external auditors.

• You'll conduct regulatory reporting, including VAT and sales tax.

Financial Controlling & Internal Controls

• You'll take the lead on financial controlling, including reconciliation and documentation.

• You'll advise on and implement accounting standards and internal controls.

• You'll actively participate in team projects, including the development and implementation of effective internal controls and the digitalisation of current processes.

In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.

• You have 2+ years of experience working as a Financial Controller or Auditor.

• You have a strong understanding of ERP systems and have worked with some (we use Netsuite).

• You’re an advanced user of Microsoft Excel.

• You’re comfortable handling the technical aspects of consolidation, accounting, and financial controls.

• You’re familiar with tax laws, especially VAT.

• You bring a digital mindset and a clear, organized approach to tackling complex accounting tasks.

• You have strong analytical skills that help you break down complex information and make informed decisions.

• You communicate effectively, think critically, and excel at coming up with creative solutions to improve processes.
